Wheelchair Rugby

On Thursday 27 April Afon Tâf welcomed Evan from Cardiff Rugby's Community Foundation to deliver Wheelchair rugby to our students. Pupils from 7AB and Year 10 GCSE PE were able to experience Wheelchair rugby for the first time.
An enjoyable time was had by all.

 Wheelchair rugby is an up-and-coming sport and is very inclusive. There are no rules enforcing that youngsters must be disabled to participate. Hopefully, a club/community will be starting up at Coleg Y Cymoedd, the closest to Merthyr Tydfil. Furthermore, this May, the ‘Euros for Wheelchair Rugby’ are being held in Cardiff from the 3rd-7th May.
