'The Addams Family' Musical

Afon Tâf’s musical production, ‘The Addams Family’ was enjoyed by appreciative audiences over the course of three evening performances on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of July 2026. ‘They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky…’ They certainly are!

In a night full of surprises, the audience were treated to musical performances from another world. The role of Wednesday Addams, undertaken by seasoned musical performer, Anais filling the Hall with her powerful singing voice, and ably supported by an equally dark, talented cast. Harlie and Lilly took on the role of Addams matriarch, Morticia over four performances. Gomez, the fiery and passionate father, portrayed by Ellis in a unique, Spanish, Basil Fawlty-esque manner.  Young Konnor made Uncle Fester’s role his own, running up and down the stage with more energy than a Duracell Bunny!  Nell depicted Grandma Addams as the scatty, manic centenarian she was.  Leah played Pugsley with an innocent aplomb.  Towering 6’6” Frankenstein-like butler with a shambling gait played by not-so towering, Mr Haydn Trew with the help of a pair of discreetly positioned Plasterer's ‘stilts!’  Just for the record, Mr Trew has been ‘gate-crashing’ Afon Tâf musicals since 2022! Short-lived normality brought to the stage, by tuneful performances from Lucas, Sophia, and Evan, as the son, mum, and dad of the Beineke family.

A wonderfully dark ‘chorus’ of ghostly and ghastly ghouls, made up from members of our primary ‘feeder’ schools and our own pupils performed ‘catchy’, contrasting musical items with style and a deadly panache.

Huge thanks to Mr Alex Coombes and Miss Abbie Jones for months of hard work leading up to the shows.  Thanks also to other members of staff and pupils who gave freely of their time in the name of #TeamTâf.  More importantly, to you.  Parents, grandparents, family, and friends coming together to support our talented group of youngsters over the course of three nights, and for making the production a massive success.

Diolch yn fawr iawn!
