Year 9 Options 2021

Dear pupil and parent/carer

In these challenging times, the purpose of this Virtual Year 9 Options Portal is to give you all the information you need to make the right choices for you and your child at Key Stage 4. Please see an introduction from Deputy Head, Mr Baber here.

It gives information on all the courses that are available to study in Years 10 & 11.  You are about to make important choices that will have a big impact on future opportunities for further study and employment, so please consider all choices carefully and take every opportunity to get further guidance from subject teachers, your form tutor, careers advisor and current Year 10 and 11 students.

This is the electronic version of our current Year 9 Options 2021 booklet.

You'll be expected to make and submit your choices on or before, Sunday 18 April 2021 using a Google Submission Form which can be found here. Please note that you will need to use your School email address and password to access this form.

A selection of subject videos created by subject leaders to help you make informed choices can be found in the table below.  If you have any questions or require any further information on any subject, please contact the subject lead via their email address shown in the Options booklet and at the conclusion of each subject video.

***Please note that we are now pleased to offer GCSE Spanish as an option for the first time ever. If you require more information regarding this subject, please email

Best of luck!
