SEREN NETWORK

We want our students to be successful both inside and outside of school.

One example of this is through our work with the Seren Network.  Seren is a Welsh Government initiative dedicated to helping Wales’ brightest students achieve their full academic potential and support their education pathway into leading universities in Wales, the UK, and overseas.

In March 2021, students in Years 8, 9 and 10 were given the opportunity to participate in a magazine writing competition for the Seren Network on the topic of climate change. One of our Year 10 students, Heidi, achieved great success having written an excellent article on what she believed to be the biggest challenge in tackling climate change. Heidi’s article was selected as the best in the whole of Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Tâf.
