High Sheriff Awards

The High Sheriff Awards panel reward young people in Mid Glamorgan who have made outstanding contributions either at home or in the community during 2021.
Youngsters have shown great bravery and resilience during the Coronavirus pandemic and it’s wonderful to be able to recognize their achievements.

One of our pupils, Lola (Year 10), had the honour of being presented with a High Sheriff Award by Mid-Glamorgan High Sheriff, Mr Jeff Edwards MBE OStJ JP DL, himself an ex-pupil and ex-School Governor at Afon Tâf High School. Lola has been selected for the GB Taekwondo development programme, managed and delivered by GB Taekwondo at the National Taekwondo Centre, Manchester. Lola is an excellent role model within school. Her attitude toward her work, along with her commitment is admirable.

Along with her sporting achievement, Lola is thriving academically. We are proud of her achievements and to have her as an ambassador for our school.
